About Cooking Mama
Cooking Mama is Office Create cooking sim where Mama guides chopping and stirring by stylus with voice help. The DS original launched October 2006, Dinner with Friends followed 2007, World Kitchen in 2008 on Wii, Gardening Mama in 2009 on DS, Kitchen Magic in 2011 on 3DS, Sweet Shop in 2014, and Cookstar in 2019 on Switch.
Each game restarts recipes rather than saving prior kitchens with new menus. Play in release order from DS forward for steps growing from cooking only to gardening and shops, since later entries assume stylus comfort for players.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing for play. The games from 2006 to 2019 each open a new kitchen anew with Mama guiding steps, so release order and story order are the same list. Babysitting and camping spinoffs sit beside the cooking core and can be saved for after the main run.
