About World of Goo
World of Goo is 2D Boy physics puzzler where living Goo Balls build bridges, towers, and flying machines to reach exit pipes. The 2008 original launched October 13 on Wii and Windows and won multiple Game of the Year awards, later ported to Switch, mobile, and Linux.
World of Goo 2 arrived August 2 2024 from 2D Boy and Tomorrow Corporation with five chapters and over 60 levels, adding Jelly Goo, launchers, growing and shrinking types plus liquid routing. Play the 2008 original first, since the sequel assumes the pipe mystery and World Corporation setup.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The 2008 game and the 2024 sequel follow one Goo Corporation story forward across hundreds of thousands of years, so release order and story order are the same list. The Switch physical edition from October 2024 and PS5 port from 2025 are the same sequel content.
