About The Purge
James DeMonaco created the series about a 12-hour night when all crime is legal, starting with The Purge (June 7, 2013).
The First Purge (July 4, 2018) rewinds to the Staten Island experiment, while The Forever Purge (July 2, 2021) pushes the story to 2048 and 2049.
Good to know
The two-season TV series (2018 to 2019) is optional and sits between the films. A sixth film with Frank Grillo as Leo Barnes has a finished script from DeMonaco but no date, so it stays out of the lists for now.
