About Bastard
Bastard Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy runs two Netflix parts in 2022 with Dark Schneider freed to fight. Part 1 runs 13 episodes with kingdom siege and Yoko spells. Part 2 runs 11 more into angel battles and past reveals.
Watch Part 1 then Part 2 because the second cour starts directly after the siege with no recap. The Hagiwara manga came first with longer hell arcs. No second season breaks this chain as of this check, so two parts in order cover the anime story. New viewers can start with the first entry for the cleanest introduction.
Good to know
Release order matches wizard war growth from seal break to angel rise. Part 1 sets Dark Schneider jokes and Yoko care across 13 episodes. Part 2 deepens hell gates across 11 more. Both total 24 episodes. The manga runs on with more battles, so treat the anime as an open pause rather than a closed end. Start with Part 1 to learn the seal before angel twists.
