About DNA2
DNA2 from Madhouse adapts Masakazu Katsura manga about Junta allergic to girls and Karin from the future fixing his Mega Playboy DNA. The TV series ran 12 episodes October 7 to December 23, 1994 on Nippon TV. The OVA Dokoka de Nakushita Aitsu no Aitsu followed February to June 1995 in three parts.
The OVA continues after the TV with Junta great granddaughter plot and new attacker. No further anime has been produced since 1995, so TV then OVA is the full animated run. The manga runs five volumes with a different ending for readers after.
Good to know
Watch the 1994 TV first for Junta and Karin setup, then the 1995 OVA for the extra time travel payoff. The OVA assumes TV events and spoils the DNA stabilization. Each TV episode runs 23 minutes with 90s harem comedy pacing. The manga ending diverges, so read after if you want Katsura original close. Expect fan service typical of the era.
