About 86 Eighty Six
86 Eighty Six adapts Asato Asato novels across two cours in 2021. Part 1 runs 11 episodes with Lena guiding the Spearhead squad from afar and the Legion reveal. Part 2 runs 12 episodes with Shin and survivors reaching Federacy and new Nordlicht battles.
Watch Part 1 then Part 2 because the second cour starts directly after the first finale with no recap. The light novels continue past the anime with no second season dated as of this check. Release order matches story order in one straight war line.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing because the story runs straight from San Magnolia to Federacy fronts. Part 1 sets the Republic lie and the squad loss. Part 2 follows the survivors into new units and winter fights. Both cours total 23 episodes. The novels run on with more volumes, so treat the anime as an open pause rather than a closed end.
