About Given
Given follows grieving guitarist Ritsuka Uenoyama teaching broken-stringed Mafuyu Satoh, whose voice carries his own loss. The noitamina series ran 11 episodes from July 2019, a quiet boys-love romance built around band practice.
The story continued in the 2020 film, the 2021 OVA, then the Hiiragi Mix and To the Sea films in 2024 closing the manga's arcs. Watch the series first, then the films in release order. Each sequel assumes the band's relationships exactly as the last entry had left them.
Good to know
Release order is story order across the series and four film entries. The 2020 film continues the band's winter show, the OVA bridges to the Hiiragi chapters, and the 2024 pair closes Mafuyu's song. Skipping ahead breaks the romance's slow build. The manga is complete and the films cover it, so the anime run reads as finished.
