Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and browser storage Watch String uses. The short version: strictly-necessary storage only, no advertising or analytics cookies today. Your consent choice is remembered on your own device and you can change it at any time.

1. What counts here

EU law treats HTTP cookies and equivalent storage (such as localStorage) the same way when they identify or remember you. This site uses localStorage for features you explicitly use — it does not set any first-party tracking cookies.

2. Storage this site sets

All three are strictly necessary for functionality you requested, so under the ePrivacy rules they do not require prior consent. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of them.

3. Third parties that may set or read data

There are currently no analytics beacons, ad-network scripts, or social-media trackers loaded by Watch String.

4. Consent

On your first visit you are shown a banner with three options: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customise (granular analytics / marketing toggles, reserved for future use). Because only strictly-necessary storage is active today, all three options currently give the same tracking-free result — the banner exists so that if analytics or advertising is ever added, it stays off until you opt in.

You can revisit your choice at any time:

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data per site. Blocking strictly-necessary storage may reset your theme, checklist progress and consent choice, but reading the guides keeps working.

6. Changes

If analytics, advertising or any new tracker is introduced, this page and the banner will be updated first, and non-essential storage will remain off by default for EU/EEA visitors until consent is given. Questions: see privacy or contact.
