About Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash drops its teens into a fantasy world with no tutorial and weak starting classes. Twelve episodes aired January 11 to March 28, 2016 from A-1 Pictures, following Haruhiro's thief party through goblin hunts where every kill costs something. The watercolor backgrounds carry the run.
Episode 2.5 arrived March 2016 on the first Blu-ray volume as a bathhouse side story expanding the second episode. No continuation is announced. The light novels run far past the anime. Watch the TV run first, then the OVA as dessert.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 12 in order. The class upgrades and the party grief stack across the run, so the finale only lands whole. The 2.5 special slots after episode 2 in story time but plays best after the run as a bonus. No second season is announced. The novels continue the story for readers past the anime's goblin close.
