About Kanokon
Kanokon from Xebec ran 12 episodes April to June 2008 about Kouta with fox Chizuru and wolf Nozomu at school. It adapts Katsumi Nishino novels with harem romance. OVA Manatsu no Dai Shanikusai followed two parts October 2009 with beach carnival story.
Specials add short beach gags after OVA. Stories continue with same trio plus Tayura, so TV then OVA is story order. No second season aired after 2009, so these 14 plus specials are complete with R+ ecchi comedy. The novels run 15 volumes with more fox lore after.
Good to know
Watch the 2008 TV first for Chizuru fox rules, then OVA for carnival payoff. Each episode runs 24 minutes with school fan service. The OVA assumes TV bonds and spoils Nozomu rivalry. Expect TV-MA fox gags throughout. Both stream on retro platforms with DVD sets out. Specials run 3 minutes each as extras.
