About Magi
Magi starts with The Labyrinth of Magic in 2012 across twenty-five episodes as Aladdin gathers Alibaba and Morgiana through dungeon runs. Early episodes set the djinn captures, the Balbadd revolt and the Kou turn.
The Kingdom of Magic followed in 2013 across twenty-five episodes into the Magnoshutatt war. The Sinbad OVA run from 2014 and the Sinbad TV series from 2016 tell the prequel. Watch Labyrinth first, then Kingdom, then the Sinbad pair. A-1 Pictures stages the djinn lore so each capture only lands in sequence.
Good to know
Watch Labyrinth before Kingdom before Sinbad. The Sinbad runs retell the prequel manga with Ohtaka supervising. The manga continues past all anime. No new Magi anime had been announced as of October 2026, so the sixty-three plus thirteen stand as the run. The manga ending waits beyond. Start with Labyrinth.
