About Princess Tutu

Princess Tutu follows duck-girl Ahiru turned into ballerina Princess Tutu, gathering a storybook prince's heart shards through dance. The first season Chapter of the Egg ran 13 episodes from August 2002.

The second season Chapter of the Fledgling ran 13 more into 2003, closing Drosselmeyer's story-trap. Watch the Egg chapter first for the shards, then the Fledgling close. The ballet storytelling layers only resolve in sequence. Ahiru's quacking slips through at the worst possible moments throughout both chapters.

Good to know

Release order is story order across 26 episodes. The Egg chapter sets the shard quest and the Fledgling chapter pays it off while trapping the cast in the story itself. Broadcast split the second season into short segments, but the DVD order here is the intended one. Complete with no continuation announced.
