About Rintaro
Rintaro directed Harmagedon in 1983 about espers facing Genma. The Dagger of Kamui followed in 1985 chasing Ainu gold, then X in 1996 breaking Tokyo with dragons. Metropolis arrived in 2001 scripting Tezuka robots with Otomo.
The films share cities breaking and boys running but no plots link at all. Each runs grand and drawn on purpose. Release order shows his Mushi Pro roots widening from espers to robots intact. The esper flares and robot domes carry every break with grandeur. The esper glows and robot joints fill every frame with grandeur.
