About Saint Seiya
The original Saint Seiya aired 114 episodes from October 1986 to April 1989 with four films through 1989. Hades Sanctuary ran in 2002, Heaven Overture film in 2004, Inferno in 2005, and Elysion in 2008 to close Hades. Lost Canvas ran 26 episodes in 2009, Omega ran 97 episodes from 2012, and Legend of Sanctuary film landed in 2014.
Soul of Gold ran in 2015, Saintia Sho in 2018, and the Netflix remake Knights of the Zodiac ran 36 episodes from 2019 to 2024 across Sanctuary and Battle arcs. The 2023 live film sits outside canon. Manga Heaven Chapter started May 2026 with no new anime dated. Watch in release order.
Good to know
Release order is the intended path, since prequels like Lost Canvas assume knowledge of Bronze basics. Chronological order shuffles the same battles without payoff and spoils Hades. The remake retells Sanctuary rather than continuing it, so treat 2019 to 2024 as an alternate telling. The manga run continues, so keep the anime list at 2024 until a new season dates.
