About Shadow Skill
Shadow Skill adapts Megumu Okada manga about Elle Ragu, 59th Sevaar, teaching Gau in Kuruda. The first OVA arrived October 25, 1995 as a 51 minute pilot. Shadow Skill The Movie OVA followed in 1996 in three parts. The TV series Eigi ran 26 episodes July to December 1998 on TV Tokyo.
Later OVAs include a 1999 short and Kurudaryu secret from 2004. The TV retells the core with more fights and debts humor. No new anime has been announced since 2004, so OVA then TV covers the essentials with specials as extras.
Good to know
Start with the 1995 OVA for the tone and Gau grave visit, then watch Eigi TV for the full Sevaar arc. The 1996 movie OVA bridges them loosely and can be second. Later specials assume TV knowledge and work as extras. Expect 90s martial arts shouting, kick focused combat and debts gags. The manga runs four volumes for the complete Kuruda lore after.
