Shigeyasu Yamauchi directed four Saint Seiya films back to back at Toei. Evil Goddess Eris arrived in 1987, Heated Battle of the Gods in 1988, Legend of Crimson Youth in 1988, and Warriors of the Final Holy War in 1989 closing the Bronze run. Casshern Sins came in 2008 with Madhouse as a robot ruin tale.
The Seiya films share cloths and cosmos but play as side quests apart from TV arcs. Casshern stands apart as a slow elegy. Release order shows his Toei movie craft hardening into TV elegy across twenty years.
Good to know
Watch the four Seiya films in order since the cloths upgrade that way. Crimson Youth suits the peak night while Final War closes the set. Casshern Sins fits last as the elegy turn apart from Seiya. No next series has a date yet, so the 2008 robot run stays last until one is announced. The Toei vault confirms the era, so give Crimson Youth full attention.
