About Spice and Wolf
Spice and Wolf follows Kraft Lawrence and wolf deity Holo across ports and coin schemes from Isuna Hasekura novels. The 2008 season ran 13 episodes with the Wolf and a Tail of Happiness OVA, and Spice and Wolf II ran 12 episodes in 2009 with the Wolf and Amber Melancholy OVA.
Passione rebooted it in April 2024 as Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf with 25 episodes retelling the start with modern pacing. New viewers can start with either the 2008 run or the 2024 remake, but should not mix them mid story since both cover the same early volumes.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The 2008 run, its OVAs, and the 2024 remake all follow Lawrence and Holo forward, so release order and story order are the same list. Pick the 2008 version for the original performances or the 2024 version for a cleaner entry, then continue with whichever you start.
