About Star Wars: Visions
Volume 1 arrived on September 22, 2021 with nine anime shorts from seven Japanese studios including Trigger, Production I.G, Science Saru, Kinema Citrus, Geno Studio, Studio Colorido and Kamikaze Douga. Volume 2 followed on May 4, 2023 with nine shorts from studios around the world such as Cartoon Saloon, Aardman, Studio Mir, Punkrobot and Studio La Cachette.
Volume 3 arrived on October 29, 2025 with nine more shorts, including returns to Volume 1 stories like the Ronin. Creators work outside strict continuity, so tones swing from feudal Jedi duels to rock bands on Tatooine. Disney Plus streams every short, and several have novel or comic follow-ups for fans who want more.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Visions worth listing, and none is needed since the shorts are standalone tales that do not share a timeline. Release order is recommended only because later volumes revisit earlier ideas with more confidence. A few shorts gained sequels or print tie-ins, but nothing needs another short to make sense.
