About Studio Trigger
Studio Trigger formed from Gainax staff and opened with Kill la Kill in 2013 about uniforms and scissors. Little Witch Academia followed on TV in 2017, then SSSS.Gridman in 2018 rebooted the tokusatsu hero. Promare arrived in 2019 as a firefighter mecha film.
BNA came in 2020 with a tanuki girl city, Dynazenon in 2021 continued the Gridman world, and Cyberpunk Edgerunners in 2022 closed the run so far with Night City tragedy. The works share energy and animators but no plot, so release order is enough.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each world resets. Kill la Kill first gives the studio grammar for the rest of the run. Gridman and Dynazenon pair as one tokusatsu run with kaiju fights. Promare and BNA sit between as film and beast breaks. Edgerunners sits last as the 2022 peak with no dated follow up yet, so the list holds until one lands.
