About Yumeiro Patissiere
Yumeiro Patissiere adapts Natsumi Matsumoto's manga about Ichigo Amano, a girl with an extraordinary palate who enrolls at St. Marie Academy to become a patissiere like her grandmother. Animated by Studio Hibari with production by Pierrot, the first series aired on NTV from October 2009 to September 2010, with real Paris patissier Sadaharu Aoki designing the desserts.
The 13-episode SP Professional sequel jumps two years ahead as Ichigo returns from Paris to open a shop with a new Team Ichigo. Watch season one first for the Cake Grand Prix and the Paris contest, then Professional, which assumes you know the Sweets Princes and their fairy partners.
Good to know
Just two entries: the 50-episode first season, then the 13-episode SP Professional. A short Tropical Island side story bundled with Ribon magazine is a light extra you can watch any time after season one. No films exist, and the manga runs past the anime, so the show ends at its own stopping point rather than adapting everything.
