About Come Outside
Come Outside follows Auntie Mabel, played by Lynda Baron, flying Spotty Plane to see how things are made. Series 1 has 11 episodes from Hedgehogs in September to December 1993 with Pippin dog. Series 2 has 19 episodes from September 1994 to March 1995 with Mr Higgins taking over the dog role.
Series 3 has 10 episodes from Bricks in January to Butterflies in March 1997 covering carrots, pencils, soap, lamps, brushes, marmalade, frogs and bulbs. Spelthorne made series 1 with Tricorn on later runs. Seven compilations cover 39 of 40 episodes with Pencils missing. Repeats ran on CBeebies to 2012. No fourth series was ordered.
Good to know
Watch series 1 to 3 in TX order. Start with 1993 hedgehogs, continue through the 1994 to 1995 factory run, then finish bricks to butterflies in 1997. Each flight explains one everyday object, so any order works but keep 1 to 3. The compilations reuse episodes rather than adding canon. Total run is 40 episodes.
