About Cyberchase

Cyberchase has taught math on PBS since 2002: Jackie, Matt and Inez follow Digit into Cyberspace to stop Hacker, solving one math concept per episode. Fifteen seasons have aired, with revivals in 2013 and 2017 keeping the same cast and a rotating set of guest stars.

Episodes are standalone, so there is no wrong door: start at season 1 for the origin, or jump to any topic that interests a kid. The show groups naturally into the original run, the 2010s revival with its eco and election arcs, and the current seasons. Hour-long specials like the 2019 birthday episode work wherever they air and need no setup.

Good to know

The 2002 to 2010 episodes look and sound their age, with flash-style animation and dial-up-era internet gags, but the math holds up. Later seasons add characters like Harmonie and the eco arcs without resetting anything. Streaming availability rotates between PBS Kids, Max and licensors by region, so the episode numbers on a given service may not match broadcast order: follow concepts, not numbers.
