About The Funky Phantom

The Funky Phantom follows teens Skip, April and Elmo freeing ghosts Jonathan, Mudsy and Boo cat from a clock across two seasons. Season 1 from 1971 sets the Looney Dun mansion base, the invisible pants gag, and the weekly crook pattern.

Season 2 from 1972 keeps the same crew with new crooks, ghost powers, and chase tricks. William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced with Hoyt Curtin organ score, haunted lights, and trapdoors. Watch in release order since chases repeat. The run closed in 1972 with no revival outside cameos.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order for Funky Phantom worth listing, since episodes are standalone and release order is the only path. The clock release stays fixed, so any episode works alone. Watch season 1 first for ghost rules, then season 2 freely. Mansion trapdoors and flight trails need season 1.
