About Home Movies
Home Movies follows kid filmmaker Brendon Small's squigglevision improv family life across four thirteen-episode seasons from 1999. Season 1 splits between five UPN episodes and the eight-episode Adult Swim revival run.
Seasons 2 through 4 run the Dad-search, therapy and wedding threads with fully retroscripted dialogue. The third season aired out of order without arc damage. All fifty-two episodes reset the home-video comedy weekly. Watch seasons straight through in release order for the family timeline.
Good to know
Release order is the guide across all fifty-two short episodes of retroscripted improv family sitcom. Season 1's five-plus-eight UPN-to-Swim split is purely a network quirk, not a story break. No revival exists. Start with season 1 for the Paula-Lindsey-Duane-McGuirk setup that later seasons constantly riff on.
