About Johnny Test
Johnny Test premiered in 2005 on Kids WB, moved to Cartoon Network, and ran six seasons through 2014 with 117 episodes of Johnny, Dukey and the twin sisters testing inventions in Porkbelly. Netflix revived the show in 2021 with two seasons of 40 episodes in new animation, keeping James Arnold Taylor as Johnny.
The revival closed in 2022 with no further season announced, ending both runs at 157 episodes total. Creator Scott Fellows oversaw the original while the Netflix run updated the designs and shortened the episode lengths for streaming.
Good to know
Watch seasons one through six in broadcast order, then the Netflix revival as its own run, since the revival resets gadgets without continuing old threads. The show is fully episodic, so an occasional skip harms nothing, but the twin-sister inventions escalate enough that later seasons assume the formula. The 2005 run and the 2021 run share voices but no continuing plot.
