About Liquid Television

Liquid Television was MTV's animation showcase, a half-hour grab bag of indie shorts that launched Beavis and Butt-Head and Aeon Flux. Season 1 aired six episodes in June 1991 (also on BBC Two), season 2 ran ten episodes in late 1992, and season 3 stretched six episodes from Dec 1993 into January 1995.

Watch the three seasons in air order, then move to the spinoffs. Beavis and Butt-Head got their own series in 1993 and Aeon Flux followed in 1995, so both play best after the showcase that introduced them.

Good to know

Air order is the intended order. Each episode is an anthology of unrelated shorts, so there is no story continuity to reorder. The spinoffs are separate series rather than later seasons, which is why they sit at the end of the list. MTV later folded the format into Cartoon Sushi, but the 1991 to 1995 run is the complete classic run.
