About Mona the Vampire

Mona the Vampire follows Mona Parker, a ten-year-old who imagines herself as a vampire detective solving supernatural cases with friends Lily, Charley and her cat Fang. Each episode pairs a school problem with a fantasy mystery that may or may not be real. The YTV series aired from 1999 to 2003.

Early seasons establish the St. Ursula school cast and the Von Kreepsula nemesis. Middle seasons add the mayoral and museum cases that reuse earlier monster rules. Later episodes close out the run with callbacks for longtime viewers. The show works standalone, but alter-ego names and principal-plot jokes land better in sequence.

Good to know

Watch seasons one through four in broadcast order. There is no alternate chronology, since school-year continuity is light and mysteries reset weekly. The main reason to keep order is character familiarity, as Lily and Charley gain confidence across the run. Once families know the premise, kids can safely jump to favorite monsters without confusion.
