About Torchy the Battery Boy
Torchy the Battery Boy is Gerry Anderson AP Films puppet series about Torchy doll with battery beam helping retired Mr Bumbledrop in the nursery. Series one aired 26 episodes in 1959 around the house, series two aired 26 in 1960 with Pom Pom and Dimbley Magic Elixir helping. Roberta Leigh created the gentle run.
Stories reset with new toy troubles but beam lore carries across years. Watch series one then series two in order, since the second year assumes the first year beam and friend setup to land for the close.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The two AP Films series from 1959 to 1960 follow Torchy forward in nursery time with the same beam lore always, so release order and story order are the same list. No revival followed at all, so all 52 episodes close the run completely for viewers.
