About Gumball
The Amazing World of Gumball ran six seasons on Cartoon Network from 2011 to 2019, ending on the Inquisition cliffhanger that left Elmore collapsing into the void. Miniseries like Darwin's Yearbook and The Gumball Chronicles kept the world warm during the hiatus.
The revival, retitled The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, premiered July 28, 2025 on Hulu in the US with twenty episodes, and a second batch of twenty arrived December 22, 2025. Creator Ben Bocquelet set it up as season 7 in spirit, so the revival continues straight from the old finale.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 6 in order, since the show's continuity sneaks up with Rob's arc and the finale void. The miniseries can be skipped or saved as clip-show extras. Start the revival right after season 6, because its first episodes address the seven-year gap directly, and both revival batches are already out with more expected.
