About Velma
Velma is Max's adult animated prequel to Scooby-Doo, with Mindy Kaling voicing a teen Velma solving murders without the talking dog. Season 1 ran ten episodes January to February 2023 in weekly pairs, ending on the Crystal Cove killer reveal. Season 2 dropped ten more April 25, 2024 with the mystery gang fallout.
The Halloween special from October 3, 2024 closes the run as the finale. Max cancelled it that October after two seasons and 21 episodes. The tone splits fans sharply, though the episode mysteries play fair. Watch in release order since the killer arcs stack.
Good to know
Release order is the only order since the killer reveals and the gang fallout run straight across. Season 2 assumes the Crystal Cove parentage twists from season 1. The Halloween special slots last as the designed finale after season 2. The show is cancelled with no revival announced, which leaves the 21 episodes as the complete set.
