About What If
What If is Marvel Studios Animation anthology created by A. C. Bradley for Disney Plus, based on the comics. Season one ran nine episodes weekly from August 11 to October 6 2021 as Phase Four, with Captain Carter, TChalla Star Lord, and zombies. Season two dropped daily from December 22 to 30 2023, and season three ran eight episodes daily from December 22 to 29 2024 as the final run.
Episodes stand alone but Captain Carter recurs and each season ends with a crossover. Watch season one, then two, then three in release order for those payoffs, including Storm as Goddess of Thunder in the closer.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The 26 episodes from 2021 to 2024 are anthology remixes with no shared timeline, so release order is the intended path and story order matches it by default. The Marvel Zombies spinoff from September 2025 follows the season one zombie episode and goes after this list.
