Compulsion Games from Montreal makes stylized narrative action. Contrast arrived November 2013 on PC and PlayStation with shadows mechanic. We Happy Few entered early access July 2016 with full release August 2018 on PC, PS4 and Xbox. DLC They Came From Below and Lightbearer both arrived 2019.
South of Midnight arrived April 8, 2025 on Windows and Xbox Series with Game Pass day one, plus PS5 and Switch 2 ports. Hazel explores Deep South folklore in third person action. Microsoft owned the studio from 2018 to independence in July 2026. No fourth game has been announced as of 2026. Each game stands alone with no shared plot.

Play Contrast, then We Happy Few base with two DLCs, then South of Midnight. Start with 2013 shadows, continue through 2018 Wellington Wells, then finish 2025 Hazel folklore. DLCs play after base game in release order. Canceled Gemini, Bifrost and Dagger projects stay out as unreleased. Keep release order for the three.
