About Endless Ocean

Endless Ocean is Arika's scuba-diving relaxation line: the Wii original (2007) opens the Manaurai Sea for free diving with dolphin companions, Blue World (2009) adds story structure and new regions, and Luminous (2024) brings shared 30-diver expeditions to Switch.

Each game stands alone as a diving vacation, so start anywhere: the original for the purest calm, Luminous for modern multiplayer. Release order shows the wildlife catalogs and salvage systems growing. The games are anti-action by design, which is exactly the appeal for their devoted audience. No sequel to Luminous has been announced.

Good to know

Blue World's story mode is the most structured entry, best for players who want goals with their diving. The original's dolphin-training systems carry into both sequels. Luminous's shared expeditions need Nintendo Switch Online for the full experience. The soundtracks are central to the calm and worth good headphones. The three games are the complete set for now.
