About Enhance
Enhance is Tetsuya Mizuguchi's synesthesia lab, where music becomes levels. Rez from 2001 shot viruses to trance on rails, Child of Eden from 2011 conducted the same idea with Kinect hands, and Rez Infinite from 2016 rebuilt Rez for VR headsets. Lumines Remastered from 2018 polished the puzzle landmark.
Tetris Effect from 2018 remains the thesis, blocks falling through thirty stages of music and light. Humanity from 2023 herded crowds as a shiba commander, and Lumines Arise from November 2025 returns to the puzzle well in VR. Tetris Mixed Realities is coming to Meta headsets with no date. Play in release order.
Good to know
Release order is the play order since every game is a standalone trance. The pre Enhance works from Sega and Q Entertainment belong here because Mizuguchi directed them into the same lineage. Rez Infinite is an expanded rebuild of Rez rather than a sequel, so both stay listed as the old and new testaments. Mixed Realities has no date and sits last.
