About Giant Sparrow
Giant Sparrow is a three person Santa Monica team making standalone narrative adventures. The Unfinished Swan arrived October 23, 2012 on PS3 with PS4 and Vita in 2014 and PC and iOS in 2020. What Remains of Edith Finch arrived April 25, 2017 on PS4 and PC with later Xbox, Switch and current consoles.
The next game codenamed Heron follows a field biologist studying urban wildlife with mundane and fantastical cases. Ian Dallas described it in October 2024 as short stories on biology wonders with Ico and Attenborough roots. No date or platforms have been set. Each game stands alone with no shared plot.
Good to know
Play Unfinished Swan, then Edith Finch, then Heron when dated. The two released games share mechanics but no story, so order only tracks design growth. Swan is a paint world puzzle, Finch is a family anthology in one house. Heron will also stand alone as short stories. Keep release order throughout.
