About Melty Blood
Melty Blood released 2002 from Type-Moon and French-Bread as a Tsukihime fighter about Sion hunting vampires with Shiki and Arcueid. Re-ACT in 2004 plus Act Cadenza in 2005 added netplay and bosses with expanded moons.
Actress Again released 2008 with new moons and guards, and Type Lumina arrived September 2021 on PC and consoles with rollback and HD sprites. Each entry resets roster but keeps moons, so newcomers start with Type Lumina before older builds for inputs. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone.
