About Moon Studios
Moon Studios built painterly action from Ori and the Blind Forest in 2015 about spirit Ori saving Nibel with Sein light. The Definitive Edition in 2016 added Black Root Burrows and fast travel, then Will of the Wisps moved to Niwen in 2020 with bigger combat and owl Ku flights.
No Rest for the Wicked entered Steam early access in 2024 with isometric action, town building and loot. Play Blind Forest first, then Wisps, then No Rest. Release order matches skill growth, with bash, burrow and glide moves assuming prior Ori flow is fully known. The pacing stays steady, with each part adding faces while keeping the core tone clear.
Good to know
Play the Definitive Edition from 2016 over the 2015 original for extra areas and fast travel plus Naru story. Then play Will of the Wisps from 2020, which runs about 15 hours with harder escapes and boss chases. Treat No Rest for the Wicked from 2024 as early access with changing systems and wipes. No shared story links No Rest to Ori beyond studio craft and art.
