About NBA Jam

NBA Jam from 1993 sets two on two arcade hoops with fire dunks on Midway hardware. Tournament Edition from 1994 adds rosters and big head codes.

Later Acclaim entries through the 2000s keep the fire rules, the 2010 EA reboot closes the run. All share over the top dunks with no story. Play in release order for the timing curve. The run closed in 2011 with no revival announced. Midway built the original with Tim Kitzrow voice calls and secret codes. Two on two play, shoves, and fire timers define each game. The 2010 EA reboot adds Remix Tour and online play.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order for NBA Jam worth listing, since games have no story and release order is the only path. The fire dunk stays fixed, later games only add rosters. Start with the arcade original for basics, then take later editions any time. Later games keep fire rules with English menus and quick arcade matches.
