About Skies of Arcadia
Skies of Arcadia follows Vyse, Aika and Fina against the Valuan Empire from Overworks. The Dreamcast original launched October 2000 in Japan and November 2000 in America across two discs. Legends launched December 2002 in Japan and January 2003 in America with 24 new discoveries, Piastol plot, bounties and included downloads.
Rieko Kodama produced both with Sega publishing. Legends is billed as the director's cut and contains the full story. A Windows port was announced but never released, and no sequel entered production.
Good to know
New players should play Legends, since it contains the Dreamcast story with extra bosses and items throughout. Play the Dreamcast original only for history or VMU Pinta's Quest, which the port omits entirely. Expect classic random encounters and ship battles throughout the long quest. No sequel has been announced.
