Spike Chunsoft is the house of the locked room mystery. 999 from 2009 opened the Zero Escape trilogy on the ship of the dead, Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc from 2010 moved the killing game to Hope's Peak, and Virtue's Last Reward from 2012 trapped nine in a warehouse. Danganronpa 2 from 2012 and Zero Time Dilemma from 2016 closed both trilogies.
V3 from 2017 rebooted the despair loop, Somnium Files from 2019 dreamed inside AI police, and Rain Code from 2023 rained mysteries on Kanai Ward. Shiren's Serpentcoil Island from 2024 kept the roguelike line alive. No Sleep for Kaname Date from 2025 continues it. Steins Re boot is dated October 29, 2026 with Danganronpa 2x2 in January 2027.

Release order is the play order. The Danganronpa and Zero Escape trilogies each stand alone, so start with either 999 or Trigger Happy Havoc for the base grammar. Another Episode and Shuten Order are skipped here as side entries. Steins Re boot is dated October 29, 2026 and Danganronpa 2x2 January 14, 2027, both sitting last. The anime have their own guides for the screen versions.
