About Tri-Ace
tri-Ace split from Tales staff and opened with Star Ocean in 1996 on space trips. Star Ocean The Second Story followed in 1998, then Valkyrie Profile in 1999 recruiting einherjar. Valkyrie Profile 2 arrived in 2006 with 3D wings.
Resonance of Fate came in 2010 with gun duels on a tower. The games share real time battles and crafting but saves never carry. Release order shows the Tales roots hardening into star runs with the same battle joy intact throughout. The battle grids and craft shops carry every quest with real time joy.
Good to know
Play Star Ocean 1 before 2 since the federation tale links there. Valkyrie pair suits recruit nights while Resonance wants gun patience. The order swaps a bit by year but release line holds. No next classic has a date yet, so the 2010 tower entry holds a fine pause point. The JRPG love confirms the crew, so give Valkyrie full attention.
