About WWE 2K
WWF SmackDown launched March 2, 2000 on PlayStation from Yuke's with THQ and Rock Austin roster. SmackDown vs Raw ran 2004 to 2011 with season modes, WWE 12 to 13 in 2011 to 2013, then WWE 2K14 onward with Showcase histories and Universe. Battlegrounds filled the 2K21 gap as arcade.
WWE 2K22 rebooted gameplay with new engine, 2K24 added casket and gauntlet matches with Americana. WWE 2K26 arrived March 13, 2026 with CM Punk cover and 400 roster plus Punked Showcase. 2K27 is expected March 2027 unannounced. Play in release order, or start latest for live rosters.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for WWE worth listing, since seasons have no story and release order is the only path. The Showcase loop stays fixed, later games only add roster and match types. Start with the latest for modern superstars, then sample older eras freely. Later games run with online Universe and MyFaction play.
