About Batman
Batman on film splits into distinct eras that do not share continuity, which is why release order works best for a first pass. The Burton and Schumacher films ran from 1989 to 1997, the Nolan Dark Knight trilogy ran from 2005 to 2012, and the character then moved through Batman v Superman and Justice League before Matt Reeves rebooted with The Batman in 2022.
The Batman Part II is now dated February 18, 2028 after its move off October 2027, and the DC Universe adds Clayface on October 23, 2026 plus a separate Brave and the Bold film with no date. Joker (2019) and Joker: Folie a Deux (2024) sit outside all of these as an Elseworlds story.
Good to know
Do not try to force the Burton, Nolan, Snyder and Reeves films into one timeline, since they contradict each other on origin details and Gotham history. The Penguin series on Max slots between The Batman and its sequel. Clayface belongs to the new DC Universe rather than Reeves's crime saga, so keep those two tracks apart when planning a rewatch.
