About Beverly Hills Cop
Beverly Hills Cop follows Detroit detective Axel Foley, played by Eddie Murphy, clashing with Beverly Hills procedure. The original (1984) hunts his friend's killers, part II (1987) returns over the alphabet crimes, and part III (1994) moves to Wonder World park. Axel F (2024) brings Axel back for his daughter's case with Judge Reinhold and John Ashton returning.
The fourth film streamed on Netflix in July 2024 as one of its biggest movie weeks, with Murphy saying in interviews a fifth entry stays possible. No cameras have rolled on a follow-up, so the four films stand as the complete run with the door open.
Good to know
Watch one through four in release order, since Taggart and Rosewood aging and Axel's family assume sequence. Part III divides fans with its park setting, but its plot still feeds the fourth film's callbacks. The 2013 CBS pilot with Axel's son never became a series, so nothing outside the films carries required plot.
