About Christopher Landon
Christopher Landon mixes horror and comedy from Paranormal Activity The Marked Ones in 2014 through Happy Death Day in 2017. Happy Death Day follows Tree reliving murder, then Happy Death Day 2U flipped to sci fi in 2019, while Freaky body swapped a slasher in 2020 with strong kills.
We Have a Ghost added family adventure with David Harbour in 2023, then Drop turned first date phone terror tight in 2025. Watch in release order to track his loop humor growing darker and cleaner. Each film stands alone, but jokes about final girls plus tech fear build across the run. The pacing stays steady, with each part adding faces while keeping the core tone clear.
Good to know
Start with Happy Death Day from 2017 for his loop formula and Tree arc, then its 2019 sequel for sci fi answers and new kills. Add Freaky from 2020 for slasher comedy with Vince Vaughn and Drop from 2025 for lean 95 minute suspense. The Marked Ones from 2014 and We Have a Ghost from 2023 are optional franchise branches. No shared universe links the six beyond tone and pace.
