About Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs follows inventor Flint Lockwood turning water into food over Swallow Falls, ending with the machine destroyed and the town saved. The 2013 sequel strands the gang on a living-food island with the machine running again.
Four bonus shorts on the sequel Blu-ray riff on side characters, and the 2017 series rewinds to Flint's high-school years as a non-canon prequel. The films tell one complete two-part story, so watch them first. The series works any time after as a separate version of Flint's youth.
Good to know
The series is a prequel in a separate continuity, so release order is recommended over story order. The four shorts all shipped with the sequel disc in early 2014 and are grouped as one entry here.
