About Fantomas
Fantomas follows the blue masked villain against Commissioner Juve and journalist Fandor. Fantomas from 1964 sets the mask and train tricks with Jean Marais and Louis de Funes. Se Déchaîne from 1965 moves into scientist kidnaps and volcano lairs.
Scotland Yard from 1967 closes the Hunebelle trilogy in London with the same trio. The films share gags and gadgets across all three, so they play as one arc rather than resets. No fourth Hunebelle film was made, which leaves the three as a closed 1960s set.
Good to know
Watch the three in release order with no skipping. Juve’s traps only land if you know Fantomas escapes from the prior film. Se Déchaîne assumes the 1964 mask rules, while Scotland Yard closes the London threat. Later TV takes retell separately and fit anywhere as extras. Treat the trilogy as complete.
