About Kantara
Kantara is Rishab Shetty's coastal folklore epic about villagers and Panjurli spirit against landlords. Kantara from September 2022 follows Shiva clashing with forest officers and Devendra with thekola. Kantara: Chapter 1 from October 2025 rewinds centuries to the first Panjurli pact and kingdom roots.
Hombale produced both with the same Bhoota Kola rites and Guliga rage. The origin only lands after the clash, so keep the release path first. Each chapter closes its own rite. The torches never dim.
Good to know
Release order is the recommended first path, since Chapter 1 assumes you know the Panjurli rage from 2022. Timeline order suits a rewatch with the origin first. Either way, watch the 2022 clash for the Kola rules before the kingdom roots. The kola drums never end across both long rites for Shiva today.
