About Agneepath
Agneepath follows Vijay Dinanath Chauhan avenging his father against Kancha. The 1990 film stars Amitabh Bachchan in Mandwa with Mithun and Neelam. It won Bachchan a National Award and runs about 174 minutes.
The 2012 remake stars Hrithik Roshan with Sanjay Dutt as Kancha and Priyanka Chopra. It keeps names and revenge core but resets setting and action. Watch the 1990 original first, then the 2012 version to compare tone. The two share no continuity beyond the remake link. New viewers can start with the first entry for the cleanest introduction to the cast and rules.
Good to know
Release order works as original then remake with no shared timeline. The 1990 version plays as a crime drama with stage dialogues. The 2012 version plays louder with set piece fights and island villain base. Both close the Vijay arc alone, so neither spoils the other beyond the known revenge shape. Start with 1990 for the award turn, then 2012 for the modern take.
