About Burn Notice
Burn Notice follows Michael Westen, a spy who gets dumped in Miami with his assets frozen and takes freelance jobs while hunting whoever burned him. Across seven seasons the show mixes client of the week cases with the serialized burn conspiracy, ending with Michael going deep undercover one last time.
Watch seasons one through seven in air order, slotting the prequel film The Fall of Sam Axe between seasons four and five, where it aired. The film flashes back to Sam's Navy SEAL past, so it plays best once you already know the character.
Good to know
Chronological purists can watch the Sam Axe film first, since it is set years earlier, but release order is better: the film was written as a reward for viewers who know Sam. The series finale aired in 2013 with 111 episodes total, and no revival has moved past the rumor stage, so the story stands complete.
